we already have a government.

President William Ruto’s allies in Kisii have warned Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party leader Raila Odinga against holding public rallies in the region.

The leaders, who are members of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) said they will not welcome the rallies because “they incite people against the government of the day”.

Former Kisii governor James Ong’wae and former deputy governor Joash Maangi said that the Azimio la Umoja leader and his brigade must avoid holding his anti-government demos in the county.

“We as Gusii leaders reject this attempt and condemn it in the strongest terms possible. Raila Odinga must leave us as the Omogusii to hit our own political future which at the moment is with William Ruto,” Maangi said.

The former deputy governor accused Raila of double speak claiming that he had asked Nyanza residents to work with the government of the day only to announce an about-turn.

Maangi disclosed that the Azimio brigade wanted to distract the homecoming ceremony of the Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu that is scheduled to happen later in the month.

He claimed that former Interior CS Fred Matiang’i is being used as a puppet by the ODM leader to turn the Kisii people against the Kenya Kwanza administration.

The leader said the Kisii people will come out in large numbers to receive the president and his envoy despite Azimio la Umoja political sideshows.
